    Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Nicholas Mukhtar embarked on his higher education journey at the University of Dayton as a Chaminade Scholar. He later transferred to Wayne State University in Detroit, where he completed his Bachelor's degree in 2013. His passion for public health and policy led him to pursue further studies at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. In 2017, he earned dual Master's degrees in Public Policy and Public Health, setting the stage for future health and policy leadership endeavors.

    Founding Healthy Detroit

    While still a student in 2012, Nicholas identified a critical gap in Detroit's public health resources. In response, he established Healthy Detroit, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing community health through innovative programs and services. Under his guidance, the organization successfully raised over $100 million, allowing it to develop sustainable health initiatives. By 2017, Healthy Detroit boasted an annual operating budget of $15 million, mainly due to his efforts in fostering partnerships and securing essential resources.

    Transition to Consulting and Public Policy

    Nicholas expanded his impact by venturing into public policy consulting in 2017 with the creation of Healthy Communities in Washington, D.C. This small consulting firm allowed him to collaborate closely with governmental figures and agencies. Leveraging his public health and policy expertise, he advised prominent clients such as Speaker Paul Ryan, the White House's Office of American Innovation, and Senators Rand Paul and Tim Scott. His consulting focused on tackling public health challenges and shaping policy to benefit communities nationwide.

    Founding Tera Strategies

    Nicholas founded Tera Strategies, a management consulting practice based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He assists a diverse client base, including business owners, family offices, and corporations. His extensive experience in operations, strategy, and management consulting enables him to help clients optimize their operations, address business challenges, and achieve strategic objectives.
